E Ticket

The Dominican Republic requires all guests to fill out an E Ticket prior to travel.  It’s free and very easy to do.  You’ll do this up to 7 days prior to leaving.  Here’s some info to check out about the E Ticket:  https://viajerodigital.mitur.gob.do/english/

Flight Check in:

Download the American Airline App.  You can check in 24 hour prior to departure.

Packing List:

 As you plan this month, here are some helpful packing ideas:

  • Valid Passport (Confirm it’s valid 6 months post travel)

  • Drivers License 

  • Credit Cards 

    • **Take photos of passport, license, credit cards JUST In case something happened to any of them

  • Resort evening wear (some restaurants may have dress code like pants/collard shirts/closed toe shoes for men)

  • Small bills for tipping (more info below)

  • Reusable, insulated cups for drinks

  • Reusable straws

  • Reef Safe Sunscreen (if you plan to swim near reefs)

  • Beach/Pool Bag

  • Clips for Towels on lounge chairs 

  • Pool Float (Hammock Pool Float stye is popular-easy to purchase on amazon)

  • External Batter Charger for Phone 

  • Water Shoes (Especially helpful on some excursions)

  • Sun Glasses

  • Sun Hats

  • Snorkel Gear (some people prefer their own)

  • Medications

Tipping Guide:

Tipping is optional but always appreciated at this resort

Rule of Thumb:  $150-$200 is a good total for a 1 week stay (Around $25 per day)

How much should I tip?  There’s no set amount, but here’s a helpful guide:

  • Buffet Meals: $2-5 table

  • A la Carte Meals: $5-10 per couple

  • Bartenders: Consider tipping, $5-$10 up front  for faster service if same bar tender, if multiple bar tenders $1-2 per drink 

  • Concierge: $5

  • Room Service: $5 per trip

  • House Keeping: $5 per day, $10 on last day

  • Bag attendants/Bell Services: $1 per bag

  • Tour Guides: $5 per couple

  • Private Transfer: $5-$10 per couple each way

  • Butler Service-$10 per day

Book When You Arrive:

Butler Servcies: $199 per week, totally optional and base on availability (more info below)

  • Dining Reservation:  Book with Concierge on arrival day.  They can’t have large group dine together but I understand you can dine in smaller groups at the same time near each other.

  • Excursions:  Book those early in your trip for preferred days and times during your stay. Check out excursions below.
